01 — Context

Digitalising a two-way mission

The Centre Zénobe Gramme is a non-profit funded by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. Its mission: collecting equipment from businesses that no longer need it, reconditioning it, and redistributing it free of charge to qualifying education institutions across the Federation. Added to this is an ongoing awareness challenge: without a flow of incoming donations, there is nothing to redistribute. The Centre therefore has to continuously make itself known to businesses, while also serving its community of affiliated schools.

02 — Objectives

Two audiences, two needs, one platform

The project had to meet distinct expectations depending on the audience: convincing businesses to donate rather than discard, by making the process clear and risk-free; digitalising the allocation process, from browsing the catalogue to confirming the order, to absorb the peak workloads of campaigns while factoring in the educational value of each item to guarantee fairness between networks and schools; and conveying the association's institutional legitimacy and its ties to the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

03 — Our solution

A WordPress site backed by an allocation platform

Gigaweb designed and developed the Centre Zénobe Gramme's entire digital system, structured around its specific allocation logic. From the homepage, visitors are directed according to their profile — education institution or business. For businesses: the benefits of donating, the legal framework and the donation agreement. For schools: how the Centre works, the categories of equipment available, the step-by-step allocation procedure and the affiliation form. Finally, a private area gives affiliated institutions access to the allocation platform: browsing continuously updated catalogues, selecting equipment, confirming and checking the order, as well as the campaign calendar.

04 — Results

An association equipped for its dual mission

Operationally, digitalising the allocation process lets schools browse the catalogue and place orders independently, at their own pace, during the open window: the Centre thus absorbs its three annual activity peaks without multiplying manual exchanges. In terms of outreach, the site fulfils its showcase role with businesses: it explains the approach, removes legal objections and turns a vague intention into a qualified contact.

This platform is built on the same foundations as our custom websites and applications.

Client review

What Centre Zénobe Gramme says

L'agence nous a réalisé une application qui nous permet de mieux mettre en relation les entreprises et les écoles. J'ai apprécié le dynamisme, le professionnalisme ainsi que le cadre de bonne humeur malgré le sérieux de l'application.
