01 — Context
Shuttle fleet management, finally digitalised
Airport passenger transport relies on precision: dozens of daily trips, shifting flight schedules, drivers spread across the field, and customers expecting immediate confirmation. In most taxi and shuttle operations, this coordination still rests on a patchwork of disparate tools — phone calls, messages, shared calendars, spreadsheets, manual invoicing. A setup that holds up as long as volume stays modest, but becomes a bottleneck as soon as the business grows.
02 — Objectives
Bringing every stakeholder together in a single tool
The project addressed three needs: centralising operations in a single platform, from scheduling to invoicing, to put an end to tool fragmentation; giving real-time visibility to customers, managers and drivers alike; and automating repetitive tasks — booking, document generation and payment tracking.
03 — Our solution
Shuttle-Plan, a bespoke business application
Gigaweb designed and developed Shuttle-Plan, an application built in FlutterFlow, designed for mobile and tablet environments and equipped with an intuitive, centralised interface. Four functional building blocks structure it: API integration — Google Maps for forecast calculations and route optimisation, complemented by a flight-tracking API; smooth, automated booking, with rigorous tracking of customer requests; digital invoicing with automatic generation and sending of professional documents via Peppol; and integrated payment tracking, for a precise view of collections. The whole system was designed around the real practices of the trade: a driver checks their route in a few seconds, a manager assigns a job from their mobile.
04 — Results
An operation managed from a single screen
Operators today have a unified view of their business: schedules, bookings, drivers and invoicing are brought together on a single platform, accessible both in the field and at the office. Automating customer bookings and invoicing removes a significant share of manual data entry, along with the risk of errors and omissions — the time freed up is reinvested in customer service and growing the business. This project illustrates our ability to design bespoke business applications that fit the real constraints of an industry, rather than forcing teams to adapt to a generic tool.
This management application is built on the same foundations as our custom websites and applications.
