01 — Context
Fighting over-indebtedness
GILS — the Groupement d'Initiative pour la Lutte contre le Surendettement — supports two very different audiences day to day: individuals facing debt, often unfamiliar with complex procedures, and social workers who assist them in the field. A single mission, but distinct expectations that one website had to serve clearly, without anyone feeling lost from the homepage onwards.
02 — Objectives
Guiding visitors without ever losing them
The challenge was to offer a single, reassuring, immediately legible entry point. Every visitor had to understand within seconds where to go: "Do I have debts?" for someone in difficulty, or activities, training and tools for mediators and social workers. The site also needed to centralise resources that had until then been scattered — letter templates, publications, a newsletter — and to showcase the projects supported by the association.
03 — Our solution
A bespoke site, structured by use case
We designed a fully bespoke site whose structure follows the real user journeys: "Do I have debts?", "Getting out of it", "Activities", "Mediators", "Prevention" and "Publications". The homepage highlights the essential entry points — optimising your budget, activities, newsletter, downloadable templates, asserting your rights — in a clear, airy layout. A warm tone and understated navigation build trust from the very first moments, an essential condition for an audience often in a vulnerable situation.
04 — Results
A clear resource, for everyone
GILS now has a site that fully plays its guiding role: individuals and professionals quickly find the information and tools they're looking for, and all of the association's resources are finally brought together in one place. The image conveyed matches the mission — serious, accessible and human.
